Express Recovery is a new exciting technology that can be used to recover Word and Excel passwords to open instantly. Express Recovery is a further development of Guaranteed Recovery that we developed in 1999. Guaranteed Recovery takes a few days to recover a password regardless of its length. Express Recovery does the same just within a minute.

Express Recovery is integrated into OfficePassword and is available as a service at PasswordNow.com or as a standalone product Express Recovery (Inhouse Edition).

Express Recovery Features

	If you use Express Recovery, you NEEDN'T recover the password. Using this feature, you can REMOVE the password at all!
	Express Recovery takes only a minute.
	Express Recovery is subject to availability. Normally you should expect it available during regular business hours. If Express Recovery is not available at the moment, your document will be queued and recovered within 36 hours.
	Password recovery is performed at our datacenter, so an Internet connection is required. However your document will NOT be sent over the Internet! See the privacy statement below.
	If you have several password-protected files (even with exactly the same password), you have to process each file individually (because each password-protected Word/Excel document has a unique random signature that affects recovery process). 	You pay for password recovery on a per document basis.
	Recovery service must be pre-paid. We cannot start the recovery process if you have no voucher on your account.

Privacy issues

The software has to pass a fragment of your Word or Excel document to our server to enable us to recover the document. We consider privacy issues very seriously and do our best to protect your privacy. Only a small part (about 50 bytes) of your Word or Excel document will be sent to the server. This part does NOT contain actual document contents or any other private information. All transferred information is encrypted using a strong encryption algorithm.

If for some reason you cannot (or do not want to) transmit your data over the Internet (for example, due to corporate security policy), you can use our special edition of Express Recovery - Express Recovery (Inhouse Edition), which allows to complete the recovery process on your computer.

Note on Office XP, 2003

You can use Express Recovery to recover Office XP or 2003 documents only if they were saved in the default (Office 97/2000 compatible) encryption mode. If the document has been saved in the advanced encryption mode, Express Recovery will not work.
